✨ Unlock the Power of Genetics in Women’s Health ✨
Join the nutrigenomics experts at Lifecode Gx for a cutting-edge workshop that reveals how genetics shape neurotransmitter balance, hormone metabolism, and detoxification pathways.
🔑 What you’ll gain:
-
Discover how the COMT enzyme links mood, cognition & hormones—and why this is especially key during perimenopause and menopause.
-
Learn to decode SNPs with confidence and turn genetic insights into personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
-
Walk away ready to apply your knowledge in clinic through an interactive case study that makes the science real and practical.
This is your chance to deepen your expertise in female neurobiology and gain tools you can use immediately to transform client outcomes. 🚀
Further Information
Description
In this workshop we will explore the intricate connections between neurotransmitter balance, hormone metabolism, and detoxification pathways—focusing on how genetic variations can influence clinical outcomes, particularly in women across different life stages.
A key focus will be the dual role of the COMT enzyme in breaking down both catecholamine neurotransmitters (such as dopamine) and oestrogens. We’ll examine how this biochemical intersection creates metabolic competition, and how shifts in hormonal status, such as those occurring during perimenopause and menopause, can significantly influence COMT activity and neurotransmitter balance.
You will also gain insight into how methylation, as a core detoxification mechanism, supports COMT function and can impact both neurological and hormonal regulation.
Key topics include
- The role of COMT in both neurotransmitter and hormone metabolism
- The connection between hormonal transitions and neurocognitive symptoms
- How to interpret relevant SNPs to inform clinical decisions
- How to design targeted nutritional protocols based on genetic insights
You be able apply their newly acquired knowledge in a practical setting during an interactive case study session.
This workshop is ideal for those wanting to deepen their understanding of female neurobiology through the lens of nutrigenetics and gain confidence in interpreting and applying genetic insights in clinical practice.
